DTSC closes Carson Plaza for unrestricted land use

The California Department of Toxic Substances Control issued a No Further Action determination for unrestricted land use at Carson Plaza in Carson, California. A phased combined remedy beneath an operating dry cleaner, finished with an eight-well HETR™ wellfield, reduced PCE and TCE about 99% in soil, groundwater and soil vapor.

Battelle Chlorinated Conference 2026, Fort Worth, Texas

At the Fourteenth International Conference on Remediation of Chlorinated and Recalcitrant Compounds, Rob D’Anjou presented ERG’s thermal work, and Rob and Cheyney Zhou presented the poster Low- to Mid-Temperature Thermal Platform for Integrated and Sequential In Situ Remediation: how ThermaCycle® delivers heat, hydraulic control and amendment chemistry through one closed-loop system, from stalled bioremediation sites to DNAPL source zones.

The patent, titled Method and apparatus for thermal remediation of contaminant impacted media with hybrid energy systems, covers ERG’s hybrid energy approach to thermal conduction heating.
