Before joining ERG, Cheyney gained valuable experience as a Project Engineer with several civil and environmental engineering firms. He draws on both his academic training and hands-on field experience to deliver practical, well-rounded engineering solutions that contribute to project success.
Cheyney is a California-licensed Professional Civil Engineer with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering from the Ohio State University and an M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. His strong technical foundation supports his work across a wide range of challenges.
Over the past four years, Cheyney has contributed to the design and operation of nine (9) ISTR projects. His project experience brings valuable practical insights into the team, supporting the delivery of solutions that meet the unique needs of each site.

Cheyney began as a Student Assistant at the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board, where he gained early exposure to environmental regulations and site remediation practices. This experience provided him with a strong regulatory foundation and sharpened his skills in environmental project management.
During this time, he discovered a deep interest in Thermal Remediation and Heat-Enhanced Bioremediation. Since then, he has played an integral role in delivery of nine (9) in situ thermal remediation projects.
At ERG, Cheyney continues to expand his expertise using advanced engineering software, data analysis techniques, and mathematical modeling.
When he’s not helping clean up contaminants, Cheyney enjoys playing racquet sports, especially badminton and tennis.
